On Thursday, December 3, 2009, Smartbox™ invited a range of people to embark on the Sydney leg of the first worldwide “Unforgettable Experiences Hunt.” This was a global event where teams of people in five major cities including New York, London, Berlin, Tokyo, and Sydney, embarked on a unique range of multi-sensory experiences. In Sydney, the five teams shared their experience online, using Samsung smartphones to take photos, blog and tweet about their adventures as they went.
In Sydney the hunt began at the hub of one of the city’s most iconic sites, the harbour. From there each team was given a clue to their experience, which included such diverse and unique experiences as rockclimbing, spa treatments, sailing, a flight simulator and a trip to a circus skills school! Once at their unique experience, each team were sent a range of quiz questions via SMS. The winner of the quiz, as well as winners of the best photographs on the day were announced at the Smartbox prize giving. Over lunch, the participants swapped stories of their unique experiences.
